Who we are

The Society for American Wines (SAW) consists of a group of wine lovers in the Edmonton area interested in contributing to an increased awareness of American wines.

What we do

The society organizes several social events during the year, each with a wine related theme. These range from extravagant dinners at fine restaurants to technical tastings of excellent high end wines to weekend getaways. Among the more popular events are:

• the Gala Dinner;
• the Gallery Wine Tasting;
• the Wild West Wine and Food Event;
• the Bin End Boil.

In addition to the events that occur annually, members of the executive are continually striving to organize new and interesting activities. To get an idea of the types of activities we offer, check out some of our "past events" at the left of your screen.

Why we do it

Because we enjoy it. Our activities allow experts and novices alike to try some fabulous wines in a convivial social environment.
